Emily

Emily is originally from Michigan, but has called WNC home for most of her life. She is fairly new to veterinary medicine as she has worked in the realm of human healthcare for the last several years and her formal education is in mental health, but she is so excited to be here. And while Emily might be new to the field, she is very passionate about caring for animals. Her interest in veterinary medicine really took off when she began caring for local community cats: providing food, shelter, and medical care for many little friends that have come to her, including a few litters of tiny kittens! In addition to her community cats, Emily and her partner have a few cats of their own that enjoy terrorizing their only dog (who realistically thinks she is just an overgrown cat as well).

When she is not taking care of furry friends, Emily also enjoys spending her time crocheting, gaming, and playing D&D (with Abby!). She is so excited to be in the wonderful world of veterinary medicine and cannot wait to help care for your pets!
