Amanda

Amanda was born and raised in central Mississippi. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Medical Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She is a member of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA), the Feline Veterinary Medical Association (FelineVMA), the Veterinary Hospital Manager Association (VHMA), and the North Carolina Association of Veterinary Technicians (NCAVT). Amanda has also served as a Member-at-Large on the NCAVT Executive Board since spring 2025.
 
Amanda brings over 15 years of experience in veterinary medicine, including small-animal general practice, emergency and critical care, specialty medicine, laboratory animal medicine, and academia. Her primary professional interests include anesthesiology and dentistry. Outside of the office, Amanda enjoys officiating roller derby, fumbling through DIY projects, and watching horror movies from under a fuzzy blanket. She shares her home with two very special kitties: Sabrina Catpurrnter (Brina) and Benito Antonio Martinez Gatocasio (Benny).
